2015 Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Slate



So most of you know what a Disney fanatic that I am. My family pretty much lives and breathes all things Disney, when we are not planning our next visit to see our favorite mouse, you can find us cuddling up on the couch with an enormous bowl of popcorn watching Sleeping Beauty for the umpteenth time.

There is special magic in a Disney movie that allows us to escape reality for a few hours and have some much needed family time. Y’all can just imagine how excited I was when Disney released their 2015 schedule for this years’ magical movies. There are some great flicks here that I’m practically foaming at the mouth to see like Cinderella, Avengers; Age of Ultron and of course the highly anticipated Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. Strange Magic – January 23, 2015


A madcap, fairy tale musical based on “Midsummer Night’s Dream” with the vocal talents of Alan Cumming, Maya Rulpolph and Alfred Molina.  You know this homeschool mom can’t wait to get her kids in front of this movie.

McFarland, USA February 20, 2015


Starring Kevin Costner & Maria Bello, “McFarland, USA” is based on the 1987 true story and follows novice runners from McFarland, an economically challenged town in California, as they give their all to build a cross-country team under the direction of Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner), a newcomer to their predominantly Latino high school, with whom they ultimately bond to build not only a championship cross-country team but an enduring legacy as well.

Cinderella March 13, 2015


The story of “Cinderella” follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Monkey Kingdom April 17, 2015


The 5th in the DisneyNature series, Monkey Kingdom follows Maya, a clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey whose world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world.

Avengers: Age of Ultron May 1, 2015


When Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.

The unstoppable cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans & Scarlett Johansson brings the Avengers back in a big way. If you haven’t seen the trailer for this be prepared to be blown away. This is one movie I CANNOT wait to see.

Inside Out June 19, 2015

Talk about saving the best for last! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is easily the most anticipated movie of the year as all of your old favorites return in this epic story of good vs evil.
