It’s that time of year again, tax time. Let the spending begin! I know that I should be responsible and save this money, but I’m responsible 90% of the time, so tax time is my time to indulge. This year I’m treating my daughter to a new smart phone with an unlimited talk, text and data/web plan.
For those of you that don’t know, my oldest daughter has type 1 diabetes so staying in touch with her while she is out and about with her friends is a must. Up until now, she has just had a simple cell phone for emergencies, but she is a teenager and staying up on the latest tweets and Facebook status updates is as important as breathing. That’s where Walmart #FamilyMobile comes in, they have affordable unlimited talk, text and data/web plans along with great deals on smart phones to keep your family connected.
Tax refund in hand, we headed to Walmart so she could pick out her phone.
There were several phones for under $100, in the end she settled on the Concord phone for $49.88. It is a perfect basic phone with all the features that she wants like a camera, apps from the google play store and the ability to jump online from anywhere.
Walmart Family Mobile plans are so affordable, she can get unlimited talk, text and web for only $39.88 per month, with no contract (love that!!). The coverage is backed by T-mobile so you know you are on a great network and will get coverage almost anywhere. The best part? I didn’t have to spend my whole tax return on a phone and plan for her, like with other big cell phone companies. We still have plenty left over for the other things on our wish list. Yay!
My daughter couldn’t be happier with her phone and I couldn’t be happier with the cost. It’s a win-win!
