About a week ago, I posted my first entry into the #NickmomPJParty contest from #CollectiveBias. I am dying to win a trip to #SoFabCon14 in May and I was sure my cocktail was going to get me called up to the show. I posted my cocktail and sat back to bask in my own creativity. I was quite the proud peacock, that is, until the other entries started rolling in, each entry put mine to shame. I was way out of my league here, these cocktails were fantastic, pictures beyond amazing and such clever names. I know that if I even wanted to have a chance at this contest, I needed to step it way up.

I put on my big girl pants and started brainstorming. Finally, while doing my umpteenth load of laundry and admittedly daydreaming during the process, I realized that nothing screams pajama party like s’mores! Every pj party I had as a kid had s’mores. It was like a childhood right of passage to create one of these ooey gooey morsels of yumminess! So it seemed perfectly fitting to create a delicious drink that was synonymous with fun and pajamas.

smore to life

This whole process made me realize how much I really want to go to SoFabCon, not just because it will be a weekend away from the never ending demands of six kids (although that would be freaking awesome!), but because I want to be in the company of blogging greatness. I wouldn’t push myself every day to be better if it wasn’t for the inspiration I get from my fellow bloggers. These women (and men) are amazingly creative, helpful and just overall pretty awesome, if I could just be in the same room with them, maybe, just maybe, some of that would rub off on me.

This is the perfect drink for the NickMom PJ party mainly because s’mores and pajamas go together like me and SoFabCon14 🙂

I can’t believe how much the liquor selection has changed in the last 10-15 years. In my early 20s we had one flavor of Vodka. A few years into my 20s came a couple of basic flavors. Now, there’s a whole arsenal of flavors. I mean, marshmallow??? Who would have thought vodka would come in so many flavors. I have yet to try any of them. I am afraid. But this fun drink is making me want to run right out and find the smallest bottle I can and give it a try! Pinned!
