Chocolate Peanut Butter Easter Eggs. These are a perfect homemade treat for any Easter basket, or just because.

My absolute favorite thing in the world is Recess Peanut Butter Cups. Yesterday, my husband called me from a job he was doing at the Hershey’s factory in PA. He told me that everywhere he turned there were Recess Peanut Butter Cups, he proudly proclaimed that he was able to help himself to these treats all day long. I have never hated him more than at that moment. It wasn’t fair, how come he got to be surrounded by all that chocolate peanut butter goodness and I got to be surrounded by whiny, demanding creatures all day.

Thankfully, I remembered a recipe that I had printed out long ago (way before pinterest!) and pulled out my binder. There it was, a recipe for homemade peanut butter cups, I’m pretty sure the clouds parted and the sun shined directly on my kitchen while angels were singing, or it could have been the fact that I was on my third whine cooler.

Since Easter was fast approaching and I was feeling kind of festive I decided to make them into chocolate peanut butter eggs. They turned out great, I just had to share them with you 🙂

5 simple ingredients will have you indulging your chocolate fantasies in no time!

Place eggs on wax paper to prepare for dipping. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Coat in chocolate…chocolate is messy, no camera was allowed during this process, so you can use your imagination 🙂 Cover in some sprinkles and let them sit in the fridge for a few minutes and then you’re done! These are seriously amazing, they may or may not have been my dinner last night.

ohhhhhhhh man, these look amazing. It’s making me wish I hadn’t just started a low carb diet. LOL Reese’s eggs are like my favorite thing, but it would be so cool to make them at home since they only sell these during Easter time! BTW your Paleo/Gluten Free Chocolate cupcakes looks amazing too! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my YUM!! I LOVE Reece’s PB Cups- and these are so adorable!! I love that you use the plastic easter eggs to make them- so clever! We are a sugar free family, but I think I can sub Stevia or Xylitol and get the same affect. I can’t wait to try these out!!
