FREE Laundry Cheat Sheet! (Perfect for teaching kids how to do laundry!!)

As you can imagine with 6 kids laundry can really pile up. A couple of years ago I felt like I was drowning in a sea of laundry, the never ending barrage of underwear, socks, clothes and towels was enough to make me want to throw all my kids clothes away and let them roam around wearing fig leaves.
Lucky for them I decided to tackle the laundry beast by hitting it at it’s core. My kids. They are the cause of all my laundry woes, so why not put them to work and teach them how to wash their own clothes. Honestly, it was one of my finer parenting moments. If you haven’t taught your kids to do laundry, seriously, you are missing out on one of the most awesome parenting perks ever.
Teaching the kids to do laundry did come with a few challenges (and a few ruined shirts) but I came up with this easy to follow laundry cheat sheet that I laminated and pinned up in the laundry room to help them remember the finer points of clothes washing 😉
Of course one thing that I instilled in them from the beginning is how to make sure that your clothes last by using the proper detergents, fabric softeners and most importantly Downy Fabric Conditioner.
Downy Fabric Conditioner protects your clothes while they are twisted, stretched and pulled in the washing machine. Clothes that have been conditioned by Downy Fabric conditioner snap back to their store bought shape. It also protects against fading and pilling caused by frequent washing. I absolutely love the way Downy extends the life of our clothes and keeps them looking like they just came from the store.
With the simple filling of a cap, you can say goodbye to stretching, fading, and pilling, giving your clothes a longer, happier life.
