My kids challenged me to find some really yummy paleo/gluten free brownies. After many fails that I found online, I decided to experiment on my own and find something that looked and tasted like real brownies. Mission accomplished! Not to toot my own horn too much, but these are really, really good brownies and so easy to make.
Ingredients:2 cups raw almond butter (If I don't make my own, I get the best results from Mara Natha Almond Butter)
1 cup of honey
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa powder (I use Nativas Naturals, they have the best cocoa powder)
Preheat oven to 325. Grease a 9 x 13 pan with oil or butter (I use the USA Pans because NOTHING sticks to them EVER and I don't even have to grease them!) . Mix all ingredients together with a spoon until well blended. Spread in greased pan and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 30 minutes before serving.
That's it! So simple! Hope you enjoy them as much as we did :)
