Maple Bacon Pancakes

Oh boy do I have a treat for you today! Your breakfast is about to hit a whole new level of amazing. Are you ready to be blown away with a delicious breakfast concoction? I have three words for you.

Maple. Bacon. Pancakes.

Boom.

Are you drooling yet? No? Well let me see if I can get those salivary glands into overdrive. Let’s talk ingredients.

Bacon- ummmmm, it’s bacon, that alone should get your taste buds tingling.

Maple syrup – I use pure maple syrup in this recipe. None of that fake corn syrup junk. We are talking sweet, divine, pure maple syrup

Granny Smith applesauce – say what? Applesauce? Heck yeah applesauce! I use applesauce in place of oil for 2 reasons:

One, it cuts the calories by A LOT (1/2 cup of applesauce has 50 calories vs 1/2 cup oil that has 960 calories) and since I’m adding bacon, I need to cut some calories somewhere.

Two, applesauce makes the pancakes taste sooooooo good! I don’t like to use a lot of refined sugar in my pancakes, so combining applesauce and maple syrup makes the pancakes delicious without packing it full of icky stuff I’d rather not feed my family.

If I still haven’t convinced you to try these amazing pancakes, I’ll just let these photos do the talking.
