BBQ Pulled Chicken

A friend of mine introduced me to this delicious and easy recipe. I’m kinda embarrassed to post it ’cause it’s just too easy, but what the heck I’ve got some free time today lol!

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen chicken breasts
  • 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (we use Weber or Stubb's, since neither has corn syrup)
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Throw all the ingredients in the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.
  2. About 6 hours in I like to take the chicken out and pull it apart with forks and return it to the crockpot for the best flavor, but it’s totally optional.

That’s it, told you it was embarrassingly simple! Serve it over rice, broccoli slaw or on buns for pulled chicken sandwiches.

Is it important that the chicken is frozen? Can I use the raw chicken in my fridge or does this recipe actually work better if I freeze it? I have chicken in my fridge and I want to make this in two days.
